Brief

To redesign, update and reconfigure this London Victorian terraced house to create an eclectic family home that reflected our clients’ zest for life, and love of colour and travel.

Design

Embracing our clients’ desire for colour, the bold Sophie Cooney stair runner in the hallway sets the tone for rest of the house, creating a natural flow and sense of unity throughout the space. We created a rich and cocooning sitting room which complements their collection of art, heirlooms, vintage textiles and treasures from their travels. Chequerboard limestone, marble and antique glass bring character to the family kitchen, while accents of rich colour by Farrow & Ball and a bespoke banquette are central to this inviting entertaining area. Upstairs we configured the space to create a more spacious family bathroom and comfortable home office, running the bold colours, patterns and textures from top to toe.

We chose Ali and Alex due to their focus on combining colour and pattern, and we absolutely loved working with them. They made the process of transforming our home a pleasure. Their attention to detail on everything from bathrooms to plug sockets, and of course the planning and project management, made our lives so much easier.
