Brief
Having rented while they waited for the perfect family home to come on to the market, this couple tasked us with updating this large London townhouse on a tight timeframe. The home needed to reflect their routines, lifestyles and love of entertaining and the project required us to be nimble and work at pace.
Design
Using a deep aubergine colour on the walls and bespoke joinery created a warm, enveloping space in the sitting room which flows through to the elegant dining room and light-filled, hand-built, Mark Wilkinson kitchen to the rear of the house. We sourced luxurious fabrics and furniture from our trusted suppliers, including Julian Chichester, and commissioned bespoke window treatments and lighting throughout the ground floor reception rooms to create a sense of grandeur and occasion in keeping with the bones of this beautiful period home. Further tailored joinery in the upstairs playroom provides extensive storage, while playful accents of colour and fabric are an irresistible draw for the youngest family members.
