Brief
Working closely alongside an architect and design and build team, we were responsible for the full interior decoration of this six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home. We are yet to photograph phase two of the project, which includes the master suite and ground floor rooms.
Design
Keen to escape the day-to-day rigours of London after lockdown, our clients found their dream family home in a village in Hampshire. Undergoing major renovation over a two-year period, our remit as the interior designers was to inject colour, vitality and interest throughout. As our clients were consummate hosts, we created five comfortable guest bedroom suites, each with their own identity. A formal dining and drawing room either side of the impressive entrance hall, with its sweeping curved staircase, allowed for the use of silk wallpapers and elaborate embroidered fabrics, with more relaxed entertaining in the generous kitchen and breakfast room. Whilst the house was Grade II listed, many of the original features had been removed, so time and attention were spent commissioning bespoke marble fireplaces more in keeping with the age of the house, re-introducing appropriate cornicing throughout and adding 21st Century touches such as underfloor heating and a state of the art sound system.
