Design

Driven by a love of bespoke elements, art, fabric and artisan pieces, our clients were as motivated by the provenance and authenticity of individual pieces as they were by the final look. With an impressive collection of both inherited artworks and more contemporary pieces, reflecting their love of travel, we created a space where it could shine. In the sitting room, we sourced furniture and used linen-backed wallpaper and continued the deep blue colour over the ceiling and woodwork to create a cocooning reading space which creates the perfect foil for our clients’ beautiful pieces. We gave warmth to the master bedroom with taupe walls, created a sense of soft grandeur with the draped linen across the bed frame and enlivened the space with vibrant fabric. High-end unlacquered brassware paired with bespoke vanities designed to feel like beautifully considered pieces of furniture in their own right elevated the bathroom design.

Client

An international couple with young children.

We had the pleasure of working with Otta Design for a full refurbishment of our house. What was clear from the outset was that they are very accommodating to the client’s requirements and once the objectives are clear, they put forward a very detailed concept for the project. We were so pleased that many of their ideas were things we would not have attempted on our own, but very much reflected our taste. We loved their enthusiasm for their jobs which showed over the project. They have an extremely keen sense of aesthetics, particularly highlighted in the execution of the bathrooms; bespoke joinery; and beautiful fabrics. All this fabulous design has created an elegant family home for us which is an elevation of our own taste. I would highly recommend Otta Design and look forward to working with them in the future.
